Multi-DC Deployment Architectures

You can use |cp| to replicate data among multiple datacenters using either the |kconnect-long|-based replication feature, |crep-full|, or using the |ak-tm| protocol itself.

|crep| is a |kconnect|-based |cp| component that allows two distinct |ak| clusters to replicate data in either active-passive or active-active architectures.

.. _bmrr_summary:

With |bmrr| you can deploy |cp| across regional datacenters with automated client failover in the event of a disaster. It enables synchronous and asynchronous replication by topic, and all the replication is offset preserving.
