ccloud kafka cluster update


The Confluent Cloud CLI is deprecated and will stop working on May 9, 2022. All ccloud features have been moved to the Confluent CLI. To update to the new CLI, run ccloud update –major. See the Migrate to Confluent CLI v2 for more details.


Update a Kafka cluster.

ccloud kafka cluster update <id> [flags]


    --name string          Name of the Kafka cluster.
    --cku int              Number of Confluent Kafka Units (non-negative). For Kafka clusters of type 'dedicated' only.
-o, --output string        Specify the output format as "human", "json", or "yaml". (default "human")
    --environment string   Environment ID.
    --context string       CLI context name.

Global Flags

-h, --help            Show help for this command.
-v, --verbose count   Increase verbosity (-v for warn, -vv for info, -vvv for debug, -vvvv for trace).


Change a cluster’s name and expand its CKU count:

ccloud kafka cluster update lkc-abc123 --name "Cool Cluster" --cku 3
