# Connector Auditable Event Methods on Confluent Cloud

Auditable event methods for the resource type `CONNECTOR` are triggered by
operations on connectors, both managed and custom. These operations send
event messages to the audit log cluster, which stores them as event records
in an Apache Kafka® topic.

The `CreateOrUpdateConnector` event is generated by a request to update
an existing connector with the provided configuration. If no connector with
the given name exists, the same request creates a new connector with that
