# Azure Private Link Overview in Confluent Cloud

[Azure Private Link](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/private-link/) allows for one-way
secure connection access between your VNet and Confluent Cloud with added protection
against data exfiltration. This networking option is popular for its unique
combination of security and simplicity of setup.

In Confluent Cloud, you can set up an inbound Private Link from Azure VNet to a Confluent Cloud
cluster or an outbound Private Link from Confluent Cloud to an Azure VNet using the
following networking solutions:

| Supported networking solution | Supported services |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|----------------------------------------|
| [Inbound Private Link - Dedicated](private-links/azure-privatelink.md#cloud-networking-privatelink-azure) | Dedicated Kafka |
| [Inbound Private Link - Serverless](azure-platt.md#cloud-networking-privatelink-azure-esku) | - Enterprise Kafka<br/>- Flink |
| [Outbound Private Link - Dedicated](azure-egress-privatelink.md#cloud-networking-privatelink-azure-egress) | Connect with Dedicated Kafka clusters |
| [Outbound Private Link - Serverless](azure-egress-privatelink-esku.md#cloud-networking-privatelink-azure-egress-esku) | Connect with Enterprise Kafka clusters |

If you use Private Link, your cluster will not have public endpoints, and you
can only access your cluster from Private Endpoints in accounts you have
registered with Confluent Cloud.
