# confluent connect offset update

## Description

Update a connector’s offsets.

```none
confluent connect offset update <id> [flags]
```

## Flags

```none
    --config-file string   REQUIRED: JSON file containing new connector offsets.
    --cluster string       Kafka cluster ID.
    --context string       CLI context name.
    --environment string   Environment ID.
-o, --output string        Specify the output format as "human", "json", or "yaml". (default "human")
```

## Global Flags

```none
-h, --help            Show help for this command.
    --unsafe-trace    Equivalent to -vvvv, but also log HTTP requests and responses which might contain plaintext secrets.
-v, --verbose count   Increase verbosity (-v for warn, -vv for info, -vvv for debug, -vvvv for trace).

## Examples

The configuration file contains offsets to be set for the connector.

  ]

```

Update offsets for a connector in the current or specified Kafka cluster context.

confluent connect offset update lcc-123456 --config-file config.json
confluent connect offset update lcc-123456 --config-file config.json --cluster lkc-123456
