# confluent local kafka topic delete #### IMPORTANT - The [confluent local](https://docs.confluent.io/confluent-cli/current/command-reference/local/index.html) commands are intended for a single-node development environment and are not suitable for a production environment. The data that are produced are transient and are intended to be temporary. For production-ready workflows, see [Install and Upgrade Confluent Platform](/platform/current/installation/index.html). ## Description Delete one or more Kafka topics. ```none confluent local kafka topic delete [topic-2] ... [topic-n] [flags] ``` ## Flags ```none --force Skip the deletion confirmation prompt. ``` ## Global Flags ```none -h, --help Show help for this command. --unsafe-trace Equivalent to -vvvv, but also log HTTP requests and responses which might contain plaintext secrets. -v, --verbose count Increase verbosity (-v for warn, -vv for info, -vvv for debug, -vvvv for trace). ``` ## Examples Delete the topic “test”.
