# Sign in to Control Center when RBAC enabled on Confluent Platform

#### IMPORTANT
Administrators should set up [https](../installation/configuration.md#https-settings) for
Control Center in a production environment. Your
administrator must enable self-signed certificates for TLS (SSL).
If Control Center is set up for http rather than https, users will be
logged out with every browser refresh. For more information, see
[Configure TLS for Control Center on Confluent Platform](ssl.md#controlcenter-security-ssl).

Prerequisites:
: Obtain the URLs of the Control Center instances you should have access to and
  your login credentials from your system administrator.

When RBAC is enabled, a log in page is presented to gain access
to Control Center.

1. Enter the Control Center URL in your browser address bar.
2. Enter your username in the **Log in** box.
3. Enter your password.
4. Click **Log in**.

   If you have any difficulty logging in, contact your
   RBAC or system administrator for the proper URL, credentials, and access
   permissions.
