# USM Agent release notes This page lists each USM Agent release, its release date, and what changed. The USM Agent is a self-managed component that is versioned independently of the Confluent Platform release cycle, so a single agent version can support multiple Confluent Platform versions. On USM Agent 1.0.x and 1.1.x, RHEL 8 is not supported natively, and you deploy the agent as a container using Podman instead. Dual-stack networking requires Confluent Platform 8.2 or later.
