Migrate to Confluent CLI v3

The release of Confluent CLI v3 introduces a number of breaking changes aimed at providing a better user experience. This page includes the following:

In line with Confluent’s major upgrades policy, confluent v2 will soon be marked as deprecated in favor of the recent release of Confluent CLI v3. Because official support for confluent v2 ends on July 24, 2023, to avoid any potential disruption of service, Confluent recommends you migrate to Confluent v3 before July 24, 2023.

Breaking Changes for Confluent CLI

Migrate to Confluent CLI v3

If you are an existing Confluent CLI user, you can upgrade to Confluent CLI v3 by running the following command:

confluent update --major
