Migrate to Confluent CLI v3¶
Important
In line with Confluent’s major upgrades policy, confluent v2
will soon be
marked as deprecated in favor of the recent release of Confluent CLI v3.
Because official support for confluent v2
ends on July 24, 2023, to avoid
any potential disruption of service, Confluent recommends you migrate
to Confluent v3 before July 24, 2023.
The release of Confluent CLI v3 introduces a number of breaking changes aimed at providing a better user experience. This page includes the following:

Breaking Changes for Confluent CLI¶
Confluent CLI v3 includes several changes that break the syntax or output structure of the previous major release. For a complete list of Confluent CLI v3 breaking changes, see Confluent CLI v3.0.0 Release Notes.
Migrate to Confluent CLI v3¶
If you are an existing Confluent CLI user, you can upgrade to Confluent CLI v3 by running the following command:
confluent update --major
