Control Center is a web-based tool for managing and monitoring Confluent Platform.
Control Center is continuously updated with improvements and new features. This page highlights significant user-facing features and updates to the product.

New features
Customer-managed Confluent Platform for Confluent Cloud licenses can now be updated with Control Center.
CLI support for starting Confluent Platform 8.1 with KRaft single-node archive installations. For more information, see the documentation.

Warnings
Upgrade from Control Center (Legacy) to Control Center isn’t supported.
Migration of metrics from Control Center (Legacy) 7.x versions to Control Center isn’t supported. Users are encouraged to run both versions for a transition period. For more information, see Confluent Control Center Installation.
You must run Control Center on a separate host/vm/container/machine than Control Center (Legacy). If you must use the same host (vm/container/machine), first remove Control Center (Legacy) completely and then perform a fresh installation of Control Center.
The following alerts supported in Confluent Platform 7.x versions aren’t supported and cannot be migrated.
