Use the following checklist and deployment workflow to prepare for installing Confluent Platform with Confluent for Kubernetes.

Use the following checklist to prepare for a Confluent Platform deployment:

• Kubernetes platform

• Docker registry

• Kubernetes security

• Plan Storage

• Plan Networking

• Plan Security

• Plan Capacity and Sizing

• Configurations that can’t change after deployment

• Use Observer container: available starting with CFK 3.2.0.

Deployment workflow

At a high level, the workflow to configure, deploy, and manage Confluent Platform using CFK is as follows:

1. Review the Plan for Production topics and assess the required and suggested options for the deployment environment.

2. Deploy Confluent for Kubernetes.

3. Configure Confluent Platform.
